A valid GATE score is not mandatory for applicants with an M.E./M.Tech, M.S., or equivalent qualification who are applying under the Institute Fellowship.
However, a valid UGC-NET or CSIR-NET qualification is essential to avail the JRF fellowship.
Under Project Mode, the candidate will receive a stipend equivalent to the MoE stipend from the sponsored project.
Except for the funding source, there is no distinction between the regular mode and the project mode.
A minimum of two years of relevant experience, along with a No Objection Certificate (NOC), is required for eligibility to the External Direct Ph.D. program.
Candidates admitted under this category will not be eligible for a stipend.
Applicants working in R&D organizations are eligible to apply.
Applicants must be deputed on leave by their parent organization or department for the duration of the residency period and are required to submit a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the parent organization at the time of admission.
