Mr Sundaram Srivastava PhD scholar, Department of Civil Engineering received The International Geosynthetics Society (IGS) Open Student Award

Mr. Sundaram Srivastava, Ph.D. scholar (CE22RESCH11020) under the supervision of Prof. B. Umashankar, Department of Civil Engineering, has been honored with the International Geosynthetics Society (IGS) Open Student Award for his paper “Experimental Study on Geosynthetic-Reinforced Expansive Subgrade under Varying Swell Pressures in Flexible Pavements”, presented at the GeoAsia8 Conference, held in Brisbane, Australia, during June 10–13, 2025. This prestigious international recognition by IGS acknowledges outstanding students conducting research in geosynthetics. Notably, he is the only student from the Indian subcontinent to receive this award.
