List of Candidates Provisionally Selected for MTech Admission (Self Sponsored) – Department of Civil Engineering – July 2025
The Transportation Systems Engineering (TSE) Group, Department of Civil Engineering, in association with the ITS India Forum and the OMI Foundation, is organizing the First ITS India Congress on 6–7 November 2025 at IIT Hyderabad. This focused conference on Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) aims to bring together academia, industry professionals, and policymakers to discuss emerging technologies and innovations that are shaping the future of mobility. With rapid urbanization and the growing demand for smart and sustainable transportation, ITS is playing a crucial role in improving safety, efficiency, and overall mobility experience. The Congress will provide an excellent platform to exchange ideas, present research, explore collaborations, and engage in meaningful discussions on the future of transportation in India.
The symposium aims to bring together academicians, researchers, scientists, students, and industrialists across the country working in diverse applications of porous media such as flow and transport in soil and groundwater, water and air filtration, enhanced oil recovery, energy storage and recovery, CO2 and H2 storage in subsurface, industrial porous media including batteries, fuel cells, adsorbents, paper, semiconductors, and membranes, targeted drug delivery, and biophysics in living porous media. It also provides a platform to disseminate knowledge, share ideas, and discuss the future of porous media research in India. This symposium also creates a platform for industrialists/entrepreneurs to showcase their state-of-the-art technologies and products.

His research focuses on areas such as earthquake-resistant design of structures, seismic hazard assessment, structural health monitoring, and earthquake early warning systems.

Mr. Rohit Dhondge has secured the first rank in the Civil Engineering category, a remarkable achievement that highlights his academic excellence and dedication.

Dr. Nitin Kumar, an alumnus of M.Tech student in the Department of Civil Engineering, was appointed Assistant Professor at IIT Patna after completing his PhD and Postdoctoral programs under the guidance of Prof. Amirtham Rajagopal, Department of Civil Engineering.
